Leak at the bell housing

Small leak coming out of the cotter pin in the bell housing of my old fiat. It is a black colour and kind of thin like diesel. What's gone wrong and is it safe to drive on?

Has it got internal slave cylinder for the clutch ?, probably brake n clutch fluid if it has !.

How damaging is this if I drive on for a few months with it until the winter. Tractor won't be doing much work in any case just spreading fertilizer.

Yes it has an internal slave cylinder. But I don't think there is anywhere to put in brake and clutch fluid in the tractor.

Not at all, many old tractors go on for years dripping out there, just monitor how much comes out and engine oil level.

Sounds like engine oil, you said it's thin like diesel, I'm suspecting it would benefit from an oil change too
I'd keep an eye on the leak and carry on using it

We used to have JD 2040 and if oil change was overdue it would leak oil from rocker cover gasket then leak stopped when I changed oil.... this is true as someone reading this might disagree
Also is engine breaker clear and is cooling system ok

Yes it has an internal slave cylinder. But I don't think there is anywhere to put in brake and clutch fluid in the tractor.

Any fiat we ever had had a clutch cable which usually broke when rolling silo
