School exams are definitely easier today. Maths was never my strongest subject at school, algebra - simultaneous/quadraticKids today are taught to remember ,not to think, remember this to pass, don't think
Have you ever needed to perform a simultaneous or quadratic equation since school?School exams are definitely easier today. Maths was never my strongest subject at school, algebra - simultaneous/quadratic
equations just went over my head to the extent i was advised to take my Cse maths first, and the following year i scraped a C grade in the O level paper.
When the O - or whatever they are called these days -results came out in August there was an item
on the Telegraph website asking their readers to try their Maths with a sample of 11 to 12 Questions from this year's
Maths exam. Decided to try out of curiousity, didn't try to answer 2 of the Questions, got only 2 of the others wrong
and scored 72% - !!!!!!!!!!!!!! bloody amazed.
Have you ever needed to perform a simultaneous or quadratic equation since school?
School curriculum is in my opinion where the rot begins, they try to teach all this fluff and turf out groomed employees without survival skills.
Dependants, to not beat around the bush.
As a result, millions of young people around the world aren't connected with the land, with business, or with holistic views or critical thinking - they've had all the creative and exploratory instinct beaten out of them.
As @skinnyhoskins said: remember, perform - but don't think, or ask why.
Ooooohh you're a brave man!Like the welsh rugby team!
