Got a Night Master 800 turbo kit from taclight .co.uk as a starter and was very impressed with it,then bought X searcher lense which made it superb.also got adjustable scope mount and extra coloured LEDs .if you call them very helpful and usually knocks a bit off.

Dereelight night master or x searcher. Absolutely brilliant. They are led and you buy separately different colour leds insted of filters. Batteries last for ever and are only small so no lugging heavy batteries about. I have an x searcher on my 223 and have a white and red led. They have quite a focused beam so takes some getting used to when scanning about but when you look through the scope the illumination is excellent.
I got mine through Taclight.

I've been reading and from what I can gather the dfa isn't really quite the ticket; loss of zero etc. new atn-x sight looks pretty good value for what it is but it's only just been released and I guess there's a waiting list now.

Nightmaster atom is possibly a good one on the way.

yes should be ok , this is the standard bracket you get in the kit but you have limited adjustment . You can also use this as a Normal torch, it has three brightness settings and you can remove the extension tube and one battery to make it more compact .
