Need to change the chopper blades on a 570. What's the best option? Plain or serrated, 3or4mm, spurious or stick with genuine Claas?

Knives sharpened with a flap disc don't last long after , you can't keep the angle right with the flap disc , it will improve them but it's not a good job.Sharpen, turn and sharpen again when needed, a flap disc on a small grinder does the job well

Then replace chopper bearings after a few days as it was running out of balance[emoji1]

A good bit of wheaten straw is chopped especially if the weather is bad , there's a big shortage of straw here this year as it didn't yield well last year.Do you chop much straw in Ireland? I thought it would all be needed for livestock.
