On a Bateman Hi Lo.
Any Ideas do I perhaps have a button sticking?
My LH 5000 starts and works fine, then for no reason I am aware of just gets stuck with the screen that happens to be displayed at the time.
Turn off and on again and no different, pressing any or all of the buttons makes no difference, then press another random button and it will then be OK.
It peeps as well as if a button is being pressed.

I've had a similar problem with the unit in my hi-lo with not being able to use buttons, but unit will work ok, just can't change any parameters. I got a exchange unit from Bateman but because the hi lo uses a now defunct software version or something the head unit wouldn't work with rest of existing system. So I just used the front button screen from exchange unit with guts from my unit. Been fine ever since. The other option was to have new system fitted. Think as machines are getting on the buttons have been pressed that many times the circuits get broken under the outer cover.

I had the same problem with my hi lo last week, went down to bateman and got exchange unit and that was problem solved, they said it was one or more of the buttons getting stuck in.

Well the LH 5000 gave up totally Sat 7/4/18 whilst spraying some round up lots of internet activity and no immediate answers, other than a name from up near Stratford Upon Avon (100 miles). So off I sets (9/4/18) with the bit and found him, nice little place on a farm I think I spoke with main man as he thought it may take him a while to get round to it (it did look a very busy place and an electronic persons heaven) wasn't sure if it would be done till he got back from a weekend away. Wednesday morning 11/4/18 phone call all fixed so I goes picks it up and back on the Sprayer by tea time "DK Electronics" will be my first call in future. Thanks Mr King and the man from Devon with the phone number.
