Just got this 25ft container to go on our bale trailer

I assume it would not be a good idea to lift it on/off with pallet extension through the air vents.
So is there any other way of lifting It on/off or should I just get some jack legs (has anyone got some laying around)

Saw a livestock container on a bale trailer last year in ireland where 2 sections of box section had been welded across the width of the roof to carry the pallet forks and give enough strength to the roof to stop any disasters! Looked like a proper job for taking it on and off!

Seen a few thats the best way imo, leaving them on jacks is dangerous.

This is my concern with jacks as we are at the top of a hill so catch the wind from all directions
Forget they even exist then or you will have a bent box on the ground, if your lucky you wont have a dead person under it, forkie everytime and sit it on the floor, if roof no strong enough make some brackets, have to get them in the right place for balance they heavier at the rear than the front so dont go central !

Couple of old boys round here years ago used to life a cattle trailer body on and off a flat wagon with a block and tackle front and rear.

It's always a possibility if you have an inside spot with a strong roof !

Lift mine off an on with long pallet tines, have jacks theey just a faf and dont like it sitting on them it can get windy here !! like it sitting on the floor, id say if enough strength pallet tines are best.

Do the same with both my boxes as the bottom vent rail is heavy built enough to take the weight, next plan is to have sockets to locate into rather than bolting on.

I just have one 10 ton ratchet strap in each corner, cheap n easy, have used it plenty with nothing holding it on never moves.
