Quick question to those who lime their sheds and beds at lambing where do you buy your bagged lime from? Cheers

Any Builders merchants. Seemed expensive to what others were paying on here but we were about £7/25kg. Damn site cheaper than the bio products

I think I'm right in saying Walter Bailey was less than £7/bag for biolime.

IIRC last time I asked at Mole Valley it over £40? Don't know what it would be now, or even if they stock it anymore, never had the courage to ask again!

At agriscot i was talking to the rep about their hydra mix lime- website www.nadins.co.uk
It seemed good stuff, the rep was putting his had in the powder and assured me that it did not burn. One of the main selling points was that he assured me that it did not blow around so much, i hate lime getting everywhere. I will be trying it lambing time.

Just use hydrated lime after washing and disinfecting sheds we scat it around works a treat. Just get it from are local concrete works they boys always look after their loyal customers.

I normally use cubical lime from Carr's billington, in 25kg bags (I think) thinking of getting a ton bag from builders merchants. What's the difference between the different kinds? Does it all do the same job?
