Listening Stick

Anyone ever used one? I have a water leak under the yard, and I've just ordered a listening stick to see if I can find the leak without having to dig up all the yard. Quite expensive, but hopefully it will be easy to use, and I can find the leak and dig only one hole.

You will be amazed at what you’ll hear when you find it. But you need to do it when it’s dead quiet, ie. Late at night or early morning.

Their good things, no background noise helps and if you can slow the flow in the pipe to where it hisses when the tap is turned on the pipe is sometimes louder underground to locate.
