Are they still milking at Terling? I remember visiting must be 20yrs ago now. Our herdsman left to take the herdsman job at Terling when his then girlfriend went to Writtle college. And we went to visit him.

Terling and Lavenham had some fantastic Friesians back in the day. It was all Holsteins when I visited though.

I remember the timber ring sale yard they had for their annual production sale

In the book "Tarling's Essex" there was a photo of Mr White retired herdsman . A super black and white photo. Grandad took me to meet him when he was very old and I remember feeling a bit intimidated, not anything Mr White had done but my awkwardness . I remember going to several farms milking in the cowsheds with overhead vacuum lines
