Load sensing hydraulics on Grimme

Having a bit of bother with my 6150R and a new Grimme GB215 planter .....
Planter all works as it should but the tractor will not lift the planter until one of the planter services is "dead ended" also scv's will not work :scratchhead: when the 3/8 sensor pipe is removed from the tractor it lifts the planter no problem but as soon as it is plugged back in no lift . There is no significant oil flow to the planter with the sensor pipe removed and iit doesn't seem to be pumping with it in until the planter needs oil flow.
Last years planter worked fine on the tractor as does the Grimme
harvester and Fusion on load sensing ????
Any ideas gratefully recieved Thanks

Not familiar with the planter but thinking out loud, to me sounds like planter's valveblock / circuit issue. Like its leaking the tractor's load sense circuit so the tractor hydraulics can't swash the pump. Check valve not fitted?
When planter load sense line is unplugged the load sense oil isn't being drained and so tractor works correctly.
When the planter's valveblock is operated it creates flow demand on P line so you've also got that oil available to use the tractor's hydraulics.

That sounds Possible Thanks, as the planter isn't mine but the tractor is I might sleep better tonight thinking it is more likely to be the planter than a tractor issue ;)
Grimme hopefully going to pressure test the outfit soon to try and resolve it but in the mean time its frying my beans having to power the planter to lift it every time i fill up:mad:

Not really an expert but I recently had an issue with a newish Fendt with load sensed hydraulics- it was using one of our trailed spreaders . When the spreader was on lime ( working fairly hard) everything was perfect but when it went onto fertiliser the load sensing wouldn't 'kick in' - had similar symptoms - was as if there was very little oil flow. Dealer came out and adjusted the point where the load sensing kicks in and all perfect. It was a screw under the tractor somewhere.

That was the Grimme technicians thoughts as well, but as it ran last seasons identical planter i have my doubts .... both dealers saying it is more likely to be the others kit that is faulty :confused:

Sounds like the tractors load sense signal is being dumped through machine try putting a one way valve into load sense line on machine to stop this happening
I'm pretty sure that the new planters have already got a one way valve plumbed into the piping :scratchhead:the tech. checked that it was in the right way round ;):)

I have a neighbour with a grimme planter that's a couple of year old and he was having load sensing issues too with a modern case tractor and grimme were blaming case and case blaming grimme am not sure did they ever get it sorted or what exactly it was
