Loadalls or small loaders, which?

We used to run a Kramer 512 sl. Great little machine. But we sold it as it was starting to give trouble.

We need to be able to load 700kg pallets into transit vans; extend up to front through the back; and then be a multi purpose farm machine. We zerograze and being able to fit up between two sheds with grass would be great. Ideally being 6-7 ft max.

I drove a lovely little wacker neuson on a farm. Didn’t like it at first but the more I used it the more I liked it.

Reliability will be a priority along with running costs. I like an older jcb 530 loadall; but not sure at 5000 hours where reliability and running costs will be; plus it would be too wide for the passageway (although I’ll measure that.

Some Kramer’s look good, 750t?
Would greatly appreciate other users views.

Weidmann are supposed to be very reliable ?? Is this the case.

We run a Weidemann 4080T and had a 4070T before that. Very well built machine and well thought out.

Wacker Neuson is the parent company over Weidemann and Kramer.

Would definitely have another Weidemann when the time comes. The small Weidemann 4ws telescopic seems to be selling very well in Ireland.

are you taking it around the fields ? Those R20 tyres are crap in off road conditions, you will need R24s

I bought a 530/70 JCB with 4500 hrs on it , it's the older model with no electrics which are far more reliable than the newer models , one year on its been bullet proof and a very handy machine around the yard .

Definitely consider a Kramer.
Avoid the ones with a Perkins engine though.

Beware the telescopic models are a lot longer than the shovels.

Weidemann, Schaffer, Avant, Multione etc etc all do nice little handy loaders

@Yorkshire Compact Loaders
Interesting have a 2016 year Kramer 2205 tele and the Perkins engine is no bother. Most issues I’ve had are with the hydraulics, specifically leaking around the return filter housing.

Naturally a small narrow compact TH to get through 6/7 ft rules out any 530/70 and its derivatives, so JCB wise used 520-40 on AG Wheels, but it mainly depends on what "General Farm Work" consists of - we need more info to advise further

Handy little machine - pity about the price! needs regular greasing - I have never seen such thin bushes in all Eye Ends of Rams etc- last used one I had was in an awful state because of lack of maintenance - boom cracked - only been at a horse stables but abused - with only 1,200 kgs capacity it will soon run out of stability and capacity when booming out, light weight and compact but only for an easy light application in my opinion, JCB 520-40 twice the machine.
