Same way as Kenworths and Peterbilts are just DAFs 🤠
Very true, although chuck a Cummins in them and a 13/18 speed as they like to do, and they are a little different.
Interestingly Volvo's don't seem to have a great reputation there but the cabovers in the rest of the world do.
American manufacturing perhaps, as they make the hood trucks there?

Those Chinese axels they fit don't help, not very durable.
Volvo's survive in much tougher applications at higher weights in other parts of the world though.
US ones seem to struggle running 80,000 lbs down the interstate.
I think dealer back up could be an issue too though, doesn't seem the number of techs, trained up on them.
Don't know why they've never looked at Euro trucks, with the big cabs nowadays, they'd do a lot of jobs well.
