Our filling stations work on pence per litre and however many litres in the tank but the car clocks on miles and the computer tells you use in MPG.

I was born in 1966, started school in 1971 & the metric system was introduced as the ONLY legal form of trade & measurement in I think 1974. It is all I have known . . .
Why have a half arsed hybrid version combining different units of measurement? It just doesn’t make any sense whatsoever, whichever way you look at it

My old agronomist used to write recommendations mixing imperial and metric units within the same recommendation , litres per acre or pints per ha ..
