Our trusty JCB436 shovel has run the big ends due to oil pump failure, going to be away a week and we need one to deal with incoming grain on bucket and pusher, anyone any idea where we might hire one for a week or so ?

Got a (rather tired) Loadall but it can't handle our big pusher, need that to get the wheat waiting to be dried into the shed!
What about trying Bell up at Barton ? They've plenty for sale might be prepared to hire one at short notice locally ?

Could also try john hanlons, loaderhire.com, they are prob the biggest loader hire company in the UK, have Cat, Volvo and a few JCB IIRC, anything with 20.5r25 tyres will prob be on the ISO coupler (volvo coupler, same as JCB use)

Only issue is that if chaffcutter wants to use his bucket and pusher, they will not fit a TH, the ISO coupler is a volvo wheel loader spec coupler.

It's the hitch compatibility that has caused the difficulty in finding a suitable machine, after no success today we had a rethink as to how to do without it, our driver came up with a good suggestion so we will see if we can manage.
As you would expect at this time of year most people advertising shovels had got everything out on hire, one or two had alternative machines either too big, too small and/or wrong hitch, as well as being terrifyingly expensive (plus haulage and insurance...)
