Log gasification Boiler Storage Tank

I am looking at installing a log gasification boiler in my house which is 1750 sqft.
I have been quoted for a 25kw burner which I think is about the correct size for my house and for a 1000lt storage tank.
Is 1000lt tank about the correct size, I thought it would need to be 1500lt?
Is there anyone here who has fitted this size of system could advise me?

Hi, the rule of thumb for log burner buffer tanks is 55litres per kW so you would need a minimum of 1375litres, but i would agree and go with 1500 ltrs

Thanks, system installed last week with a 1500lt buffer tank, still to be commissioned.

what sort of money are you looking at for this size of system ?

Fitted in NI a system is £7500. This is for an Attack 25KW boiler, 1500lt buffer tank and ladomat valve. Plumber fitted it last week and it is to be commissioned this week.

hi Baker9, it would be interesting to see some pics if you can get some, being installers of biomass systems, i cant understand why people want log burners, but thats just me!!!

cause when you have a large wood full of trees its cheaper
