Logic snacker stopping in an open position

Hello everyone,

It's been a while since I've posted. Online search engines not coming up with the solution.

Our Logic snacker is stopping in an open position. Normally you can flick the switch and you know it will finish it's cycle and close or let out one more drop.

At the moment it is still usable, just having to fill up per group, making more trips, rather than continuing round all the twin groups. And disconnecting elecs enroute.

Thanks in advance. I can't have been the only one with this scenario!

Probably the slide is just gunged up, it's just a wiper motor and a spring so assuming the wiper motor is ok then wash out the slide then wire brush the slide clean...,watch your fingers though as it can shut with a bang

If it's working normally while switched on and doesn't cycle to the closed position when you switch it off it's a electrical issue. It still needs power even when switched off so it can go till it's in the closed position sounds like yours is getting no power when you turn it off

Ours did the same , I think it was a Chapman, and always stayed open once cycle had finished, had a few goes trying to solve it but ended up buying a new one through frustration ,I think the problem was probably in the control box

It can be as simple as a wire pulled out of the plug. Even if you don't have the counter, that switch goes through the plug, to the control box and back to the motor to finish the cycle. I think this means they can fit the other box and the counter works from the off.

Hauled my logic snacker out of the shed for the first feeding this morning and I had a similar problem. The trapdoor was sticking open. Tipped it upside down so I could see what was happening and it was the slider jammed with crud nothing to do with electrics. Cleaned up and a bit of oil and I was away again. Mine’s about 2007 vintage.
