Planning on laying a few concrete base and trying to make the job as easy as possible. Seen one at toolstation for 250 quid however has square edges would round be better?

Could you hire one , make sure it’s got the knuckle head to turn handle and jack blade up for coming back towards you , yes you want rounded ends 6 ft is what we use

This will be better than tool station one it’s only 4ft but will be fine especially if you want to add a brush for finishes

Mine has round edges like the one above, I have covered it with plywood to give a wood-float finish, round edges on that too.

They can produce a 'bow-wave' if it is on some that is slightly too wet. they round edge tends to lessen this I think.
