To be honest I have a John dale seedhawk which will be my main drill due to high stone content on a lot of the farm but on the heavy I would like to try a disc drill. Also I need a drill that will cope with drilling into cover crops.

wen you drill into stones, you may have to increase the down pressure. I've got a paddock that's chalk & cheese result from doing/not doing it (had to redrill 2 ha)

What size stones are we talking?
If lots of stones (say 6 inch diameter) are proud in the paddock you will want to think about rolling prior to drilling as they can sledge in front of the depth wheels.

Putting a slug bait spreader on the drill is an idea to think about.

Make friends with one of the French chaps on here and ask them to have a look at one and get it from there. Or speak to Boccassion.

Have you thought about a new one?

These look a reasonable bunch:

would be cautious on this one.
Know the region the dealer is working. Most likely the drill will need some basic care to be taken of.

Just take a little time and you will even find within GB a good deal. has happened last autumn. The point is to be quick. so have enough money ready to be swift in action. Many of the used drills, which are good deals, are less than a week on the market. As

Used ones seem to be very rare - I have only seen 1 UK drill for sale in the last 12 months and that sold instantly

You really need to look at France or Spain and get it shipped home
