I will apologise in advance because this has probably been discussed on here before I just can’t seem to find it.
I was wondering if anyone has grown a Lupin and triticale mix before for whole crop and what there experience were with it and feeding it too fattening cattle. On paper it should work well with, the Lupins provide some nitrogen for the triticale, and the end result a 15 to 20% protein feed with reasonable energy. My concerns are knowing how late Lupins can be to ripen will the triticale gone too far to whole crop by the time the Lupins are right to whole crop.
