There will always be rejections and issues such as you say but these are all factored in, you need to allow for a certain percentage of rejected loads/dumped tatties as all growers get them
No doubt there will be a bit to be made in spuds but cows and grain will be a walk in the park in comparison to spud growing.would prob cut 100 cows to fund it so should free up plenty time
So have you went for it yetwould prob cut 100 cows to fund it so should free up plenty time
when you look at the costs though I wouldn't have rent to pay just a notional rent for 70 acres, no additional labour or tractors
dont think soyou can get away with normal sheds for storage though for a few months
Then you can take them to your local ad digester, cause mc caines won,t want them.you can get away with normal sheds for storage though for a few months
And after a few seasons, take a good look at your soil structure, growing grass will be your only option after that to repair the damage.Nobody wants to grow grain everyone wants to let ground out for spuds

no still working with sucklers store trade good this year tatties made a mess of the ground last year only just got my wheat inSo have you went for it yet
i have 3 main tractors for the arable/silage etc that would be used, you can buy fairly cheap second hand harvesters/planters etc? the big growers are always buying new and discarding kitIf that is true then you currently have far too much machinery and labour. Have you seen the amount of metal that is required to grow spuds? It is mental, and its not much less for 70ac than it would be for 500.
You could put the potato store up just to the left of the dairy.
Perhaps not such a crock of gold after all then?no still working with sucklers store trade good this year tatties made a mess of the ground last year only just got my wheat in
im not getting the upsides though just a rent, some growers have made huge margins the past 5 yearsPerhaps not such a crock of gold after all then?
