Mains water tests

Hi oh thinks we need the mains water filtering. Drinking water.
Asy main about 1 mile long .
Is it best to get the water tested and go from there ??
Recommendations for testing firm i guess
Fylde coast ish Lancashire.

What do you think is wrong with the mains water ?
There are legal limits they have to work to.

Is it a matter for local Environmental health officer ?

We get our borehole water tested by Northumbrian Water lab. about £100 for full test

Our lass winging and wineing is the main reason.

Honestly dont like the idea of asbestos pipe but i know that the main thru village is a 300 mm asy pipe

Get a sample analysed.
Will either Shut her up
or
give you grounds to complain to Water Co / EHO

We use this lot, plenty other labs do it
