Major tyre repair

Got two 90% tread Michelin telehandler tyres that have suffer a accident (muck grab tines through them ! ) Could they be repaired to a standard to go on the rear of the forklift ? Tines have gone right through the tire, any feedback appreciated ! Forklift will probably be getting changed this autumn so reluctant to put new tyres on !

Yes same was done on our merlo and it was repaired

Major repair ok for those I would think. Where are you? Stone Tyres in Staffs would revulcanise those. Can’t recommend them highly enough, had several done in the recent past, all fine.

Had a rip in sidewall of a 650 Michelin rear tyre, local tyre place took it off and sent it to Glasgow where it’s come back as good as before. Just lucky we had a old spare to stick on as tyre was away for 2-3 weeks

I don’t think we have had the bill in yet.....

The hole in the first pic looks small enough, I'd just sand the ribs off and stick on a big gaiter type patch, maybe inject some blue rubber cement into the outside opening.

I've had tyres vulcanised with worse cuts than those and they lasted as long as the tyre did , it cost about €80

Even with the wires damaged ? Local tyre place said they could repair them but with no guarantee

I've done several from sidewall cuts up to 6" long to cuts between the grips and they have never failed.

Yes I did our forklift exactly the same a few years ago and they vulcanised them I think we put them on the back once repaired but not 10 percent sure

I’d say they’ll fix...speak to your local tyre company, they will probably send it to a company...I’ve had a few done

Send both to be repaired properly, they will come back good as new. Don't try and black patch the smaller one instead.

They are knackered, i will take them away free of charge!

They’ll repair well. Michelin tyres have a very good inner skin and provided the outer doesn’t cause grief they’ll hold air well.

If its new I'd be thinking a replacement under warranty ! Unless self inflicted
