Major with winch pulling timber

I have just seen old major with winch pulling big tree trunk can't be many doing that today . The guy was wondering how he could cross over a box section grid with out ripping it up

Depends on the size of the tree but the big rubbery builders buckets strapped to the end work well. I presume the stem has been snegged.

Sorry it is as agrimax suggests delimbed but using flush cuts, Some peoples idea of snedded leaves stumps which snag when you winch.
