Making blocks look old / aged

Re building some block work footings in a bid to make it look like it was done some years ago - no need to ask why

For starters I struggled to find grey blocks, they are all light brown or light green now! anyway have found some vaguely grey blocks, want them to look aged quickly. we wont point them up but just leave it rough finish, as they would have done years ago...

At college we got told that smearing yogurt on helped but I think this is a bit OTT! has anyone had to do similar and got any tips ;)

both inside and out need to look weathered for about 2 month time..

Spraying with Maxicrop is said to age them quickly. Never done it myself but been said often enough. I think it ages them quicker rather than instantly, ie. a year rather than ten.
Ag chem supplier will have it.

For the cheeky lot that think I've been naughty, how very dare you!

I am just making a few tweaks to a building that's all.

Cow slurry may work if we had cows. I may just have to rub down with dirt . Need to make some cobwebs too and make the concrete floor look old

Yep, and if you have it handy maybe mix a few spoons of live yoghurt in as well just to help it out. Just needs to stay runny enough to fit through the sprayer though.

Condy's crystals (potassium permanganate) will stain them up.
That's how I make deer antlers brown again after bleaching, ermmm, wear gloves!! ;)

Also good for science experiments with resublimated iodine- clouds of "purple smoke" - really makes the kids think 'Dad knows magic'
(mine still haven't figured out, that if I knew magic, my wallet would have money in it )
Most chemists will have both.
