Manitou radio

Our manitou radio is doing my ti*ts in! When you turn it on you have to tune it into the stations you want then hold the number to save it as it says in the manual. The problem is everytime you turn the ignition off and on you have to do exactly the same again! Any pointers or is it a new radio job!

Is it wired in properly? Sounds like its losing all power when engine is turned off so losing memory. Had a similiar problem when changing a radio once just needed to change power wire.

Wired incorrectly most probably, take it out to check the red and the yellow cables. Red should be connected to ignition feed but the yellow needs a constant feed as memory. Most ag machinery they come with both connected to ignition feed. Did loads of new tractors years ago, taking a constant feed from interior light in roof!!!

I had this issue when I put a new radio in my manitou.
Mentioned it to mechanic whilst he was here one day and he sorted it in no time, I’m sure he said it was just a case of swooping the permanent live and ignition live, he knew exactly what it was without even looking
