Where or how do I find the latest satellite images of land and area ? , they all seem to be years out of date . I thought they would be regularly updated in this day and age ?
Same hereround here Google is about 7 years old and Bing about 4 years.
Depends where you are, Urban areas seem to be updated more often than rural
Magic also has the extra 'layers' required for ag. e.g. NVZ's, also shows things like which fields are in ELS and HLS etc.http://magic.defra.gov.uk has newer stuff than bing & Google for my area.

Edit. There is a goldmine of data in Magic, thank fug Defra in some twist of good fate decided to let us have it for free.
Making whatever "big data" they hold available for free: possibly the only thing right they got all yearAh but it isn't anywhere near enough to make up for the BPS fiasco...
