First harvest with a reconditioned Marconi here supplied by #Lodekka . Because of Lodekka’s wealth of experience and attention to detail, I have no doubt that the machine is working absolutely as it should be.
I understand that the original sliding scale pre dates the ISO 712 standard charts, so we should all be using ISO standard charts and not the original Marconi sliding scale on the front of the machine.
However..... having had my Marconi checked at a local grain lab pre harvest (for my own piece of mind), I found that using the ISO charts with the Marconi was not as accurate as using the original sliding scale. The original sliding scale was absolutely bob on!
With these findings, I have been using the sliding scale.
What do other Marconi users use? Original sliding scale or ISO charts?
In theory, the ISO 712 standard reads 0.7% MC higher than the original Marconi standard.
Thank you in advance.
