Massey 135 keeps airlocking?

I replaced the two fuel filters, lift pump and pipe from the lift pump to primary filter on my mf 135 and it’s airlocked again. Was going ok for a few hours after this. Before this happened I could hear it slightly surging again and it had bother starting? Any advice? I know I’ve asked about this 135 several times on this forum.

Get the tank off and drain it then wash it out and replace the gauze

Yeah going to do that. I bled it out there just so I can move it if it’s in the way. No fuel out of the bleed screw on the primary filter came out but fuel came out on the rest so eventually it bled. Definitely needs sorted before it dies out on me in a bad place..

Fuel systems generally “pull air” because they can’t full fuel.

Some years ago I had similar problems with my dexta … I checked everything
The problem was fixed by tightening screws on lift pump… only needed tightening very little
You have fitted new lift pump but check easy things first
You said it ran alright for a few hours that doesn’t suggest restrictions in line

Does it have one of those flexible steel braided hoses with the rubber liner anywhere. They are always a prime suspect for drawing air.

Drawing air at the glass bowel if there is one maybe perished rubber ring in there
