Massey 390t pto problem

I was mixing slurry, switches tractor off, started tractor about 1/2 an hour later and it would only rev out to 1500rpm when pto was engaged and would rev out full when pto was disengaged? Any ideas what it could be? Thanks

Either as above with the fuel filters or have you checked the propellor on bottom of pump isnt blocked up with bale wrap or rope or somethin like that?

There is nothing on a 390 to set or limit revs therefore if it only revs to 1500rpm it must be on its knees. Can only be fuel related, how does she sound, any smoke? Have you taken shaft off to try? We used to use an IH 584 on slurry stirrer, dropping the propeller right in would lug the engine down to about 1700 rpm but boy she knew it! Would do about 6hrs on a tank of fuel!!!
