Massey 6100 spools

Help appreciated! Massey 6150 - is there a way to lock a spool in constant pumping other than string and a cable tie to the door handle?

On the post knocker - you put it into pump and the lever stays pumping, but as soon as you operated a spool block / ram on the machine, it jumps back to neutral.

Got a detent on my 4355. Basically it's a locking ball detent that fits into the capped end of the spool slice.
Weather you can get the same for a 6100 I'm not sure.
