What are the things and niggles to look out for on a 6265?
Would they have improved electric reliability to the 61’s? Or the water attracting box still under the right hand of thecab?
I presume the same front axle wear issues apply, dynashift gear box good, clutchless forward and back improvement over the manual 6150 stick? And the rubber damper? Had to do one in the summer - do they still have these?

Thanks in advance.

I guess it's a small step forward in evolution. Proper powershuttle good with dynashift on same lever nice too..standard 38 wheels manly looking. Clutch switches on pedal occasionally only gripe in that area. Better quality wiring looms help.
Looking forward to hear from men if any power improvement.

If you want the 61 buy it, the 62 buy it. One range is almost 25 years old the other 20.

I’ve got the 6150, I’m just thinking in the log run would the 62 be a safer bet reliability ways knowing the history of some of the 61 series or is it a case of better the devil you know !

It’s just had the rubber damper, nothing else major (touch wood)-never has, (I’ve known the tractor since it was 5 years old)

The diff lock and 4wd get a bit excited on a wet day electrically.

Wouldn’t worry about changing it out then, some more insulation tape or new plugs and carry on.

We got a new 6265 T reg, one of the first. It was one of the flatest, most slugish tractors you could ever drive. Not a patch on the 3075 that it replaced. On the other hand we still have a 6290, one of the best.
