Massey 6480 harsh pto

Pto engages sharply on my teir 2 6480 and sometimes error t144 comes up.

Can it be softened in anyway?

Our 5455 engages much more gently

T144 is being thrown up because the sharp engagement causes engine revs to drop (judging by what my book description says). As for cause .. sorry wouldn't know, our 6485 has always been pretty harsh on PTO (and clutch for that matter), so we engage at low revs where possible.

I was worried about the harshness on powerharrow but tried it yesterday and it stops and starts fine in auto pto.
