Massey Ferguson 300 series tractor radio

Hi does any one know where I can get a new radio for my MF 390, I have attacted photos of the radio I've removed along with the connections. I've tried my local MF dealer and they seem a bit hopeless, sent me one that they'd got in stock but had totally different connections so went back to them and they keep telling me they don't make this sort of radio anymore nor can they get me one with these type of connections.
I am positive it's the radio that's the problem and not the tractors electronics as I've got another 390 and have swapped the radios round to check.

If you take the radio into Halfords (may not be that easy to get in) they will sell you a patch lead to connect whatever radio you want to fit, to the 6 pin connector the tractor has. Not cheap, but if you dont want to change the wiring.

Edit:
Dont go paying an arm and a leg for the one from Massey, as Halfords have some good value if you tip over to their website before you go in.

As above, get a patch lead, or just chop the existing connector off and splice on a standard ISO connector. Then you can fit whatever radio you want, as they generally all come with an ISO patch lead included.

My only other tip would be, seeing as you've only got 2 speakers in the cab, If you're putting in a new head unit in with hands free speaker phone - the phone audio will typically work via the front speaker connections. So arrange the wiring back to the front speaker connections on the radio to suit. Might save some head scratching.

i replaced the radio on our 398 a few years ago and could not find an adapter to suit (local halfords had poor enough selection tho). I just cut the socket off the old radio and wired it up to the new radio (easier to work at the radio end than chopping at the connector in the roof of the tractor to try and match wires from tractor to the new radio) just check what colour wire does what on the new radio, most newer radios i've seen the yellow is the backup power (white on your radio), most new radios will have 4 speaker connections too, just use the wires for the front speakers as mentioned above . Aerial from tractor should plug straight into any new radio

8 in to 6 won't go
The 8 pin is for the new radio, the op will have to cut off the 6 pin on the tractor loom and use a patch lead like I posted. If I remember correctly the 390 has no permanent live for the memory of a modern radio so I took 1 from the windscreen wiper. I could check when back to the yard tonight.
