Massey Ferguson 565

We've owned this 565 for as long as i can remember, it used to be our main tractor and then got used as a scraper tractor for the last few winters. Unsure of the hours as the clock is stopped, but engine runs well with little smoke. Had a new battery last winter. The alternator wiring has been played about with and i'm not sure if it still charges the battery. I put a trickle charger on every couple of days to keep the battery charged. Excellent brakes and hand brake works well too. Clutch is good, steering very good. Mechanically a very good tractor apart from reversing. It started jumping out of reverse every once in a while and gradually got worse, now it will not stay in reverse unless you hold the gearstick in the reverse position. All of the other gears work fine, high and low. I can't be bothered with taking the tractor to bits to do the gearbox, so that's why it's for sale. Plenty of rust on the cab as seen in the photos. One window is barely there, held together by window tint film from my boy racer days. Electrics don't work, although i think i had the cab fan blowing a few years back. Rear linkage works well. Not used the hydraulics or pto for years and they don't currently work. Not sure what needs doing to get them working. One tyre has a nasty split in the sidewall, but i put a new tube in it last year so holds air. Needs an oil change.

Sorry for so much info, but i like to be honest about faults rather than someone be disappointed. It would make a good tractor with the gearbox sorted, but i just don't have the time or inclination. Any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
