Massey Ferguson 6465 Block Heater Failing

I have a 2012 M.F. 6465 tractor with a Sisu Engine with only 1100 hours. I have just installed the fourth Block Heater on the left side of tractor. The first was factory installed, second by a New Holland dealer, third by a Massey dealer, and fourth by me. I average under 300 hours per block heater and always fails past the one year warranty and Agco/Massey shy's away from helping, even acknowledging that this is not right. Anyone else have this trouble.I've talked over possibilities but maybe someone else has a solid answer. Between labor and parts I've spent $1,400.00 already and figure the new one installed will probably go to. Not impressed.

Don't think there will be many people on here with block heaters , most people on here are in the uk and Ireland and 99% of there tractors won't have block heaters

Thanks for your reply, didn't realize what area this site covered. I'm from Canada and we just had 10 inches of snow and its minus 25 degrees Celsius right now, so block heaters are essential. Have a good one jackp!

They wouldn't let me join that forum and my English is well above avvvvverage ...........

Heater may well be suffering from vibration, breaking the element over time other than that it can only be a quality issue?

Alternator, disconnect large output wire to test, overnight. Be careful as the other end of the wire goes straight to the positive on the battery. So don't let the spanner hit the steel bodywork.

Well the earth strap wont discharge the battery, unless the battery is fine and you have a bad connection when you really need the power (starting from cold)? If in doubt connect another earth strap or even a jump lead to test.
