I broke one of the pins that holds the drop arms on my tractor the other day all sorted but noticed the otherside had a bit of play but unable to tighten up any more does the brass washer that tightens against the housing on the cross shaft wear or is it a more serious problem?

it does wear but if you take the bolt off and the big steel washer off there should be some shims on the back of the washer or stuck on the end of the shaft just remove a couple
