Massey sales fall.

Too expensive against the NH alternative (with more spec)

Also, our local NH dealers could eat local MF for aftersales and support.

Shame cause Massey make some good tractors! The 7718/19 especially.

Not the case in the South. Massey is doing very well with the large fresh produce boys. Struggled to get parked at my local dealer last week as their yard was full of new tractors shortly heading out to a salad grower.
And IIRC the reason why C&O went Massey over NH was due to one very large customer wanting red paint over blue.

As in Lamma the rivals are creeping up the ranks.
The so called" bigs boys" are sourcing and making their products in cheaper parts of the world but still retail prices increase and increase over here?
We all would like to buy and support "traditional " brands but it's getting more and more difficult to do so?

Does the large number of horticultural tractors sold under the JD banner influence their total sales of agricultural tractors ?

Do agco even want MF?

They've developed valtra with smart touch interface and left Massey with old cab/technology, multiple screens. This could have went on fergies?

As for the dealer network, least said about that the better up here. Hardly any farmers running them in this area now.

They don't even put them on same stand as other agco products at agricultural shows.

Did read the other day they were investing a lot of money beauvais plant. Spelt wrong probably!

@Spud Whats your opinion on new ranges?

Interesting. MF are lacking investment, for sure.
My newest is 15 reg, so a 76 rather than 77. Data 4 is Fendt derived, but much less usable than data3 - data 5 is better, so I understand. The exclusive joystick is very good, but the rest of the armrest is poor compared to a Case Puma or a Fendt 700. In this respect, a 76&77 are the same.
I gather a new cab is coming later this year for 7720 up, so I await that with interest.
Fundamentally, a Sisu engine and Fendt vario gearbox is a brilliant combination, for usability, reliability and performance, but it's time the controls were better.

In most mfrs cabs now, the 'jump on and go' easy operation is gone, which isn't a good thing in my veiw. MF have just about kept this - the pick up hitch is easily sussed, for example, and the shuttle is obvious.
They're all too dear - tractor inflation is ridiculous now, I expect better value (from all mfrs) than has become the case.

Think the product is solid enough, maybe not deere reliability, but on par if not better than case/nh, D6 maybe needing a wee freshen up, chopping nd changing of dealers probably hasn't helped, nd also tagging fendt/valtra onto the original mf dealer network has probably watered down the massey customer base.
