Masstock slatted floor building

We have one of these buildings that would have been erected in the late seventies and have always thought it to be an extremely well designed structure especially the controlled airflow which made pneumonia redundant
However after continuous winter use for forty something years it is now looking tired
We can find quite a few corroding slats and the door bottoms are rusting
Decided to take the slats out of one pen keeping the better ones for spares
We have installed quad slats which looks to give a more acceptable level surface
These are an inch thicker than he originals so we have had some concrete edging to relay to that depth
During these forty something years we have only ever fed silage and mineralised barley hence the original side troughs have been retained to provide the correct trough space
It looks as if the rest of the floor will need replacing soon but before progressing l wondered if there are others on here who are still using these old Masstock buildings and what if any alterations you have made over the years

Any pictures? Just interested really. We have a shed that the previous owner had 800 railway sleeper set up as slats.. 11' deep pit. Slats have been taken up and put half filled in. Seems a waste really.... Would be nice to re slat it sometime
