Maxi scrape A frame

Stupid question alert.(again)
We had a new maxi scrape back in October. Since then we have been using it with an A frame which is very tight. Which is fine but for the next few weeks we need to Attach the transport box to said tractor.
so I got a quote from from them for an A frame that will obviously fit.
However the price came back at £195 for the frame and another £50 for delivery.
so my question is.Am i right in thinking this is very expensive and secondly are there other A frame s that will be quick release and not require me to hit them with a sledge to get them off.
Apologies again for the naivety of the question.

I’d check whether the scraper A frame has been fabricated properly, ie not out of true before splashing the cash. We had a scraper years ago that had to be cut and rewelded to get the A frame to fit.
Ps, most A frames are made of cheese IMO, and bend very easily. Gave up on them on scrapers years ago!

We used Kramp A frames on our maxi scraper , lasted about 6 months before getting bent ,so wont release. Now use one
made for contractors carrying a mile of lay flat pipe.
It will stick on some things if the angle is wrong , one transport box has to be dropped with a timber under the front, Or change the length of the top link.

As said check nothing is bent, then wire brush the paint off the frame and apply plenty of grease, I'm pretty sure it will go on and off a lot easier

Don’t bother with those red ones, the handle becomes the weak link eventually and then you can’t get the attachment off. Spend the money once and spend it right

McConnell do this one with a plunger, ours gets a lot of work scraping out and it’s been fantastic, it was £250 but it’s very well made. Not the Chinese steel rubbish.

That does look very strong, not like the red carp.
