They ought to just pay a more reasonable price to start with.

Same old game. Like supermarkets need to see the accounts to get the loan. Have to send them in each year. Once you are sucked in or they think you are making too much money they cut the price. You will see the contract is very open ended from their side but not yours. Agreement to buy at whatever be it market plus or fixed price is basically verbal from their side. Having made the investment you can be left swinging in the wind. Study the terms very very carefully.
