Had a different make of hedgecutter on order for months but was told yesterday it’s not bin made!! McConnell can do this 6565t for start September but quite abit more money though!! Got price coming for spearhead aswelll but think McConnell has it!!ta

I'd get a few different prices for a mcconnel as we were about to buy one from the big McConnell sellers in the south west (you know the one) and happened to have a rep from another dealer pony and found out we could get one 2 grand cheaper from them. No idea why there was such a price gulf but glad that we found out in time to buy the cheaper one.

Was a 6065 with a 1.6 head on motion controls and only had it a year but all good so far and nice to drive. Our previous McConnell lasted 19 years so if we get the same from this one I'll be chuffed

Defo do a shop around. I bought a 6570 last year and the difference in prices was staggering.
You're not kidding, I just bought a... Machine... Today, and given that the other competitors quotes I'd had were within a few hundred quid of each other, Alamo and others, I nearly fell over when I got the quote I went for, so much so that I sent the dealer back with a slightly different spec just to make sure the number on the front of the quote wasn't a misprint. If I didn't currently have the same make of machine, I'd have been deeply put off by the relative cheapness... Its an Alamo machine.... Are they actively trying to phase out the other ones and just move to one make?? Seems nasty to the other ones if they are, I feel a bit dirty to be honest, but you have to look after yourself... And the dealer also has been a good friend to me over the years. As has one of the competing dealers, which sucks...

I got a different price from four separate dealers, only one of which I had previously purchased from. This time he was unable to meet the best price.
The previous year I had purchased a tractor from him under the same parameters so it’s some you win, some you lose.

My 3 pt linkage 6570T with screen and joystick controls “revolution” I think and orbital head cost just shy of 40k euros in sept 21. I’m told same machine today is high forties! For what you get it’s certainly pricey.
