Watched a video on YouTube this evening, that was a new Holland first time I've seen a set of Wafer weight hung off the near side of a mower! Obviously to counterbalance the Weight of the bed
I allways wounder why side mounted mowers don't have a counter weight to help reduce the stress on tractor cross shafts it would be a lot better job

Haven't seen a 2017 model yet. Have they reduced the gap between the rotor and pickup?
5 changes to the pickup for this year. The rotor is slightly bigger (I think), the cross augers are bigger, heavier, the bit where the strip sits behind the pickup is raised up, as in the grass dosen't drop onto the plastic strip it flows straight onto the rotor, camless pickup is an option (with 6 rows of tines maybe) & I can't remember the other one.
