Mechanical Slug Control, new pastures and cropping

ive read on here about people harrowing, raking and rolling etc to aid slug control...im looking at getting a einbock style finger tine harrow and cambridge roller to do some night time handy work...has anyone got any ideas...currently using pellets but worried about availbility in future years...effects on soil and good bugs etc...

Would use harrow bar to sow clovers, lucerne and teff etc...so its not a waste...plus scratch up pastures in autumn to encourage tillers and weeds...

Cannot beat a propane burner for slug control just have a 5 minute gap between burns as the second flush make a run for it.

I dont know seems some organic growers in Aus use it.
