Membrane separator

There was a article in fw a couple weeks ago about slurry separators, one idea that caught my eye was a membrane separator.

Sounds like brilliant idea just water and dryish muck out, it was pretty light on detail though, all the others had rough prices and running costs.

Anyone got one or any info on them, will be looking at doing something in the next couple years for ~100 cows.

Cheers

Fairly sure it’s been covered on here before, the brains behind it would only say it’s cost effective!

The article mentioned membrane separation, but nothing else.
Graphene is an exciting development for separating almost any product from water, whether it could be adapted for the farm environment I don't know.
Coleg Sir Gar are trialling separation using electrolysis, although everything has gone quiet recently.

Like you say it was mentioned but not expanded upon like the other processes. I had read a bit on here about the electrolysis but seemed a bit expensive/not proven?

Getting water and a solid you can pile up must be the holy grail as far as we are concerned, the other separators in the article all leave a solid and dirty water which still needs dealing with.
