Metering issues on 3m DTS

Is anybody else having problems with the ORGA metering system? I have bought an ex demo machine this year and whilst planting OSR find that on each headland turn an amount of seed falls of the end of the auger, this leaves a thick patch of plants on the headland and a bare patch for about 8m each time it goes back into work (looks a right pigs ear!) It does the same on grain but with the larger amount of seed going through it doesn't cause a problem. Yes, I am trying to drive smoothly. I have got the nylon sleeve in and the long insert. Thanks, l look forward to any suggestions.

Worked out that my drill was doing similar, due to the orga metering out seed until the drill is lifted out high enough to initiate the cut off finger switch. My tractor being about on the limit of lift capacity sometimes took a while to lift it to the point that it would cut off so it did sprinkle some seed on the headland. Solved it as best I could by using headland management to cut off all other hydraulic operations when lifting so it could put all power into lifting the drill quicker, also slowing down a bit when you come to the point at which you lift out, say from 9kph down to 6kph. The only way to solve the seed not coming through quick enough when going back into work is just to drop the drill in sooner I found. At about 6kph again going back into work dropping the drill when the front weight of the tractor went over the point at which you want to start drilling ment when the drill past that point seed was coming out of the coulters. All cereals drilled as above and been fine with little overlap. OSR I was a couple of metres out in places but its not to bad

Thanks Shutesy, I will have a look at the headland management. Have you found any OSR falling of the orga as you turn on the headlands? We have some quite steep land so that probably exaggerates the issue. Apparently you can get a cable to link to the tractors Iso socket which will bypass the finger switch and cut the auger feed as soon as it starts lifting.
