MF 135 sucking air

I use the 135 for rowing up and it is usually trouble free. But stalling repeatedly today. Starts again after bleeding but it is getting a bit tedious! Air in the fuel coming out of the injector pump vents but it takes a while for fuel to come out the top vent. Clearly, it is sucking air in somewhere. Tightened up all the connections and I am just out to change the air filter. The fuel tank should be clean. Presumably it is sucking air between the tank and the lift pump?

Sorry for posting what is probably an elementary question but at hay time my brain goes into panic mode. Contractor will "try to come" and there's already been one shower today, The last time the contractor didn't arive on time I was turning hay for three weeks! I love the Highlands, but not the weather!

New filter might well cure it. Are the screws round the peripherary of the lift pump loose? Worth trying to tighten them. Ours seem to loosen periodically. There might also be a gauze in the lift pump but I wouldn’t disturb it unless all else fails.

Fixed!

Compressed air up the pipe from the lift pump to the tank has cleared what was obviously a blockage in the fuel tank filter. Job for later, drain tank, clean filter, wash out tank.

Any tips of stopping it raining?

Yes, they were certainly not tight. Fixed now, see my other post.
