Hi all I need some info on a mf 165 lift. The 3 point linkage works perfect never refuses to lift anything doesn't hiccup or anything but when you turn the selector lever to work a loader after about 5 mins the lift starts dropping. Any ideas why? Tia

not sure what selector valve you have but if you have a genuine massey selector valve and plumb the loader into extension 1, the arms will automatically top up every time you lift the loader. they wont drop until you turn the valve back to "linkage". the idea of this was to be able to carry a ballast weight. there are 2 ports for extension 1 so you could feed both rams of a 40 loader.

Ours used to do this due to the pump type. Also ours used to make a horrible graunching noise as if a bearing had failed when on the road, also due to the final drive design and apparently normal but concerning when you have only just bought it!

We used to use a T bar locking hitch on the back of the 135 loader to get over the problem.

What causes the linkage arms to leak down on the 100 series when the selector is in linkage on loader work .
