MF 3095 gearbox

My 3095 has a problem with the gearbox, the forward reverse lever is moving freely but the 1234 lever will only move between 1 and 2 with no sideways movement at all.
The turtle light is on but regardless of which position the levers are in the tractor won't move and makes a grinding noise from the box.
Linkages and wiring are fine it's a dynashift.
Any help appreciated tia.

Job to diagnose without seeing the tractor. Make sure the linkage isn't seized at the clevis pin. They are known to break 1/2 and 3/4 selector girls which could give you those symptoms

Sounds exactly like a worn selector. A days work to fix. Make sure you put some threadlock on the awkward castle nut thingy.

Thank you both, the tractor has been getting stuck in 4th gear for quite a while but it was needed everyday until now.
Can the selectors be replaced without splitting.

Take off both right hand gearbox panels, slide back the rail that the selector forks fit on and then fit the new fork. Reassemble. There may be a few extra steps...

Been in there before to replace the forward reverse fork so it doesn't sound too bad thanks.

Something reminds me that if tractor is not fitted with creeper box that you can cut few inches off back of the rail in order for it to slide back enough to change forks or even to remove the rail?
Never needed to cut anything off the rail. Never tried to get the rail out but never needed to.

Got the side cover off and found the castle nut unscrewed and running along the rail,I assume just tighten it up with threadlock and reassemble.
The selector forks seem fine.
