Hi, myself and my wife have inherited a 4 cylinder mf 35, it's fair to say she needs some work to get it started.
Engine has been rebuilt at some stage of its life but I've been told its always been a bad starter.
Also has a ki-gas kit fitted.
Any advice on a good upgraded starter motor and battery to get it going please.
Thanks in advance.

I fitted a high speed starter for a Ford/NH 6640 to my 4cyl FE35, a perfect fit, it makes it way better.
The better way to solve the starting issues is to fit an extra ring high up on the pistons, but I didn't go that far as I think there is no point doing that unless you are completely overhauling the engine.
