Looking for a reply from someone who has actually timed one of these MF 35 4 cylinder tractors (standard engine) or has lots of experience of them.
I have completely done up my standard engine top to bottom with new parts fitted skimmed block & head and also injector pump & injectors done up
I fitted new oil pump and a new water pump.
We cannot seem to get timing correct.
I bought a fergusion book from local dealer and followed it but no joy either.
Then timed it following a section I seen on internet. It runs alot better but quite smokey (black) there is also a slight grinding or rubbing noise around the bottom front crank area which baffles me.
My mechanic reckons the injector pump is also not set that the circlip lines up with the G after it was done up. It was done up by a very highly recommended place that does alot of this work.
If anyone has experience of these standard engines contact me . Thanks
